Green tea is made from the dried leaves of an evergreen Asian shrub. It can be drunk or swallowed as a tablet or capsule of green tea extract. It contains numerous components that are believed to have anti-cancer and antioxidant effects.

Green tea contains caffeine, but many extracts are caffeine-free.

The claimed effect of green tea

Green tea is believed to have a variety of health benefits; it is used to prevent cancer, lose weight, reduce serum lipids, prevent coronary artery disease, improve memory, relieve pain from osteoarthritis, treat symptoms associated with menopause. The drug is also believed to help increase longevity.

Adverse Effects of Green Tea

Adverse effects associated with caffeine include insomnia, anxiety, tachycardia, and mild tremor.
