Betalgon
Betalgon is a drug with local irritant and analgesic effects.

Indications Betalgon
It is used in the treatment of the following disorders:
- arthralgia, neuralgia or myalgia;
- injuries affecting ligaments or muscles;
- various bruises;
- sciatica or lumbago;
- vertebral osteochondrosis accompanied by radicular syndrome;
- injuries of sports origin;
- disorders of peripheral blood flow function.
Release form
The drug is released in the form of an ointment for external use, inside tubes of 15, 20 or 25 g. A separate box contains 1 tube.
Pharmacodynamics
The medicine has a combined base and is used for external treatment. It contains 2 vasodilating elements that have high therapeutic activity.
Betalgon has a distracting, and in addition, spasmolytic and local irritating medicinal effect. In addition, it has an anti-inflammatory, warming, and at the same time analgesic effect, and also stimulates local blood flow processes.
By improving blood flow within the epidermis, blood circulation in the underlying tissues is also enhanced.
Pharmacokinetics
The medicinal effect appears several minutes after treatment, reaching its maximum effect after approximately 20-30 minutes.
Dosing and administration
At first, the ointment should be used in small amounts. The strip of substance should be a maximum of 0.5 cm long. It is applied to the required area of the epidermis using a special applicator (the area to be treated is approximately the same size as the palm). To enhance the medicinal effect, the area being treated with the medicine can be covered with any woolen fabric.
The patient must be warned that the medicine can be used for a maximum of 10 days without consulting a doctor.

Use Betalgon during pregnancy
The ointment should be prescribed to pregnant or breastfeeding women with great caution.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated to use the medication if there is intolerance to its components. It is also prohibited to treat areas with open wounds with the ointment, as well as areas with damaged or irritated epidermis.
Side effects Betalgon
The use of Betalgon may provoke the occurrence of allergy symptoms.
Overdose
If too much ointment was applied during the procedure, its effect can be weakened by wiping the epidermis with a napkin that has been pre-treated with any nourishing cream or simple vegetable oil.
Storage conditions
Betalgon should be stored in a dark and dry place, out of reach of children. Temperature values are within 20°C.
Shelf life
Betalgon can be used within 24 months from the date of manufacture of the therapeutic agent.

Analogues of the drug are Betanikomilon, Finalgon, and Nonivamide + Nicoboxil.
