Physiotherapy for herpes simplex, namely the laser therapy method, is simple, convenient and very effective.

The impact is carried out using devices that generate radiation of the red (wavelength 0.63 μm) or near infrared (wavelength 0.8 - 0.9 μm) part of the optical spectrum in continuous radiation mode. The technique is distant (gap 0.5 cm), stable or labile.

Irradiation is carried out by fields, covering the entire surface of the skin and mucous membrane affected by the herpes process. For large areas of damage, fields are applied sequentially from the periphery to the center, with healthy tissue irradiated within 1 cm. It is possible to use a labile technique (beam scanning) with a beam speed of 1 cm/s.

Laser irradiation is used at any stage of the pathological process. The greatest effect is achieved by irradiating the corresponding area of skin at an early stage of the appearance of skin manifestations, in the presence of only itching or burning and in the absence of other elements of the herpetic process (papules or vesicles). At this stage, laser therapy allows interrupting further development of the disease and the appearance of successive pathological skin elements. Even if they are present at the beginning of treatment, the process of their formation and reverse development with laser irradiation is less painful and faster. In the presence of papules, in some cases it is possible to prevent the appearance of vesicles (bubbles with serous contents); in vesicular rash, laser exposure promotes their reverse development, rapid regeneration of the skin in the affected area.

PPM NLI 1 - 10 mW/ cm2. The exposure time on the field is up to 5 minutes. The first 2 days, the exposure can be carried out 2 times a day with an interval of 6 - 10 hours. The course of treatment is 3 - 7 procedures daily, 1 time per day in the morning.
