Physiotherapy for maxillary sinusitis

In the absence of exudate or purulent contents in the maxillary sinuses, treatment of acute or exacerbation of chronic sinusitis can be carried out at home. Physiotherapy for sinusitis is based on the use of laser (magnetolaser) therapy using devices that generate radiation in the near infrared part of the optical spectrum (wavelength 0.8 - 0.9 μm), in continuous or pulsed mode of generation of this radiation.

The method of exposure is contact and stable.

Impact fields: cutaneously with one or two (in case of a bilateral process) fields in the area of the pterygopalatine fossa. PPM OR 5 - 50 mW/cm ². Magnetic attachment induction - 20 - 40 mT.

Radiation modulation frequency: the first 3-5 procedures are carried out with a frequency of 80 Hz, all subsequent ones - with a frequency of 10 Hz.

The exposure time for one field is 5 minutes, the duration of the treatment course is 7-10 procedures daily, once a day in the morning (the first two days, procedures can be carried out 2 times a day with an interval of 4-6 hours).
