Regulax
Regulax has a laxative effect.

Pharmacodynamics
The drug has laxative properties. After passing through metabolic processes, natural sennosides of senna are transformed into the element reinantron. The active component has an effect on the endings of the large intestine. As a result of the stimulating effect of the drug, intestinal motility increases, and in addition, its contractions, which have a propulsive nature, are strengthened.
Therapy using Regulax accelerates the movement of feces inside the intestine and weakens resorption processes relative to liquid. It has been found that reinantron is able to stimulate chlorine excretion and increase the secretion of electrolytes and liquid inside the intestinal lumen.
The laxative effect of the drug develops after 8 hours.
Dosing and administration
The standard dosage portion of the medicine is 1 chewable cube. Regulax can be taken by adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
The intake is carried out before bedtime, the cubes must be chewed thoroughly. The duration of the entire treatment cycle should be a maximum of 7 days.
Use Regulaxa during pregnancy
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should take Regulax very carefully. And in the first trimester, taking the medicine is strictly prohibited.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- presence of strong sensitivity to drugs;
- intestinal blockage;
- nausea;
- regional enteritis;
- constipation of a spastic nature;
- vomit;
- appendicitis;
- ulcerative colitis;
- bleeding developing within the gastrointestinal tract;
- abdominal pain of unknown origin;
- severe stage of dehydration.
Side effects Regulaxa
The use of the drug sometimes leads to the occurrence of some side effects:
- spastic pain in the abdominal region;
- severe diarrhea;
- hematuria or proteinuria;
- pseudomelanosis;
- myasthenia;
- exanthema, which has a generalized form, or urticaria;
- change in the color of urine;
- itching, as well as hypokalemia.
Overdose
Poisoning with the drug can cause diarrhea, which leads to severe dehydration and salt imbalance. In severe cases of systematic intoxication, acidosis with collapse is often observed.
Symptomatic measures are taken to eliminate problems. In addition, rehydration is acceptable.
Interactions with other drugs
When used in combination with SG, sensitivity to them may increase.
Combination with antiarrhythmic drugs sometimes leads to an increase in the therapeutic effectiveness of the latter.
The use of antibiotics with a broad spectrum of action weakens the properties of Regulax.
When combining the drug with thiazide-type diuretics, EBV disorder is possible.
The combination of the drug with GCS or licorice medications may lead to the development of hypokalemia or severe dehydration.
Application for children
It is prohibited to prescribe the medication to children under 12 years of age.
Analogues
Analogues of the drug are Senadeksin, Senaleks with Senade, as well as Anthrasennin, Tisasen, Ex-Lax with Laksana and Gerbion.
In addition to them, Bisacodyl with Guttalax and castor oil have a similar mechanism of medicinal action.

Reviews
Regulax is often discussed in connection with the possibility of its use during pregnancy, as well as medicinal effectiveness during this period. This fact is not surprising, because many pregnant women experience constipation, and not all drugs can be used to get rid of it. Because of this, women prefer to choose safe drugs of plant origin. This drug receives mostly positive reviews. Of the disadvantages, only the unpleasant taste of the drug is often singled out, which sometimes leads to nausea.
It is important to understand that you cannot use laxatives every time constipation occurs (especially if they happen often). If this disorder occurs constantly, it is recommended to undergo an examination to identify the cause of the disorder, and then undergo a full therapeutic course.
