Sinestrol 2%
Sinestrol is a hormonal drug and is close to the steroidal estrogenic hormones in its biological and therapeutic properties.
Indications Sinestrol 2%
Sinestrol 2% solution is used to treat endometritis in animals, to remove afterbirth and mummified fetuses, to increase the function of mammary glands, to show hunting in healthy females (ovarian hypofunction).
Release form
1 ml of the preparation contains the active substance:
- 20 mg of synestrol.
Ampoules of 1 ml, vials of 10 ml packed in boxes.
Pharmacodynamics
After application of sinestrol in the genital tracts of females there are changes observed during heat (blood supply of genital organs increases, endometrial proliferation processes are activated, changes in mammary glands occur).
After injection, the drug is rapidly absorbed from the injection site and distributed in the organs and tissues of the animal.
Dosing and administration
Apply Sinestrol 2% subcutaneously to cows and horses 0.25-2.5 ml for ovarian diseases and stimulation of heat - twice in 18-24 hours; for endometritis - in the same doses for 6-8 days.
Contraindications
Do not use in liver disease, kidney disease, pregnancy.
Storage conditions
Dry, dark, out of reach of children at temperatures from 5 °С to 10 °С.
Do not store with food, beverages or animal feed.
Special instructions
Animal products during and after application of sinestrol 2% solution are used without restrictions.
Shelf life
5 years from the date of manufacture.
